covert7
Hi folks, been lurking around for a few days as I've just picked up the GOTY Oblivion and I've got a question for you experts. It appears for some reason that when I make changes to the video options in Oblivion they're not staying. I'll set them from a game and then exit the game when I'm done playing. The next time I go to play some of the settings have changed back. I figure it's got to have something to do with an .ini file somewhere, but I swear I haven't been changing anything in my Oblivion.ini file. Any clues as to what could be the reason? If you need more info on this just let me know. Thanks for any assistance you can provide! Actually I'll toss in some info while I'm at it. I'm running the latest version of the game of course and the only mods I've got installed are OOO, UOP, Darnified UI, TNR All races, and AWS. I also use Oblivion Mod Manager, and have Wyre Bash for some merging use. Oh and QTP3 Redimized.
Glue
I had this happen a long time back but i can't recall doing anything about it specifically. It was a small adjustment to my video settings so i didn't mind and it disappeared without me knowing at some point.Looking at your installed mods the only common denominator with me at that time is AWS so i would say try dissabling that first and see if it makes a difference. Then Quarl's as it's also concerned with visuals and then strip your game to vanilla again. Can't hurt to try.

I decided to take your advice and disabled all my mods, turning them on one at a time till I found the one that was causing the issue (if any of them were). By the time I had turned them all on again my settings were sticking properly. I don't know what it could have been but now my sliders stay where I left them and all the other values are set as they should be. Odd stuff but hey at least it's working now!
