YesRoyalty
So, during my routine tweaking of the game via the GECK to better support my play style, I increased the base number of caps that Quartermaster Bardon has at his disposal from 8,000 to 96,000 (Look at all those supplies he's got. And he's supposed to be in charge of all the logistics for the NCR in the region. Of course he should have government-level purchasing power). Trouble is, when I'm selling him things, he stops paying me when he's down to about 66,000 (this number fluctuates; sometimes lower, sometimes higher). It still shows that he has the caps, and it shows his supposed payout inside the little arrow; but when I press 'Accept', he gets my items and I get nothing, just like if he had no caps. It's annoying me, seeing as if I don't have him to empty my inventory to periodically, I wind up with a ridiculous number of extra weapons in my possession, none of which I have any use for at all; it gets to be a lot of dead weight. I have done absolutely nothing to him in the GECK other than change the number of 'VendorCapsBaseLarge' objects in his vendor container from 2 (8,000 caps) to 24 (96,000 caps).Does anyone know what could be causing this issue? viennacalling
This is a known issue with all vendors. When the vendor has greater than 32,000 caps (I forget the exact number), they're bugged like you are experiencing. The in-game workaround is to not exceed that number when trading with them. GECK solutions are to add scripts to discard excess caps after the player has finished trading with them. Gun Runner's Arsenal does something like that.
