FNV won't load game or start new one

I just had a huge update on Windows 10 and now FNV will load to the start up screen and try to load saves and then crash. I tried a starting a new game, crash. I unselected all the mods, just having the standard Ultimate Edition Package, the DLCs plus Gun Runners arsenal. Then I tried to start a new game with just that. It crashed.

I have NVSE, 4gb Enabler and fake fullscreen. I verified the cache using Steam, and it's not helped. Any advice?

uninstall or simply remove from the game folders all tweaks, delete the ini files in the My document folder\ My games and update the game thru steam, verify the catch...if that does not work ,have steam uninstall the game completely and reboot, then reinstall the game raw, run the game as it normally should run from steam first, allow it to write to all the places needed.

windows might be stopping the script-extender all together. Don't break the games engine using 4gb tweaks. wait until you get the game re-established.

OK, I tried reinstalling NV. It didn't work. How do I uninstall NVSE? I could find no instructions on uninstalling it

listen carefully, the NVSE package that is downloaded, extract it with 7z or winrar what ever you use to a folder. examine the files found in the folder from that, go to the game folder and remove Identical files that match the extracted data. bingo all done.

IF you require default ini files to get this fixed right, I can supply them, default vanilla files only. No tweaks.

these , you know where they go. but if the system or manager is using NVSE written code or some weird ENB thing, these also need to leave.

IF the problem has occurred to you as many so far have reported "from MS windows 10 Updating the OS" the only way to fix this problem is to make sure windows writes to the files and signs them into the registry to reclaim functionality.

you can not fix this windows update screwed up signature junk doing things as status quo. Steam must write the files to the system and the system must except them. If for any reason windows stops during the new install procedure, it will lock the game out.

windows 10 update is thinking the files, for NVSE are viral. Vanilla default files only will run from steam on launch. Tampered with files will fail.

so ,should we need to abandon the thread, we can still remain in contact. A lot of people are going to suffer MS update failures.

I won't be one of them due to this system is 32bit, but the target audience is 64bit systems. I don't suffer from telemetry issues here as I did with 64bit. They seem to not care too much. what might be interesting after you fix the OS and game would be to see the listed update patches their using.

I could go directly there but what i would see are all up to date here.

I do have drives in that format though. not really interested any more in 64bit games anyway.

I appreciate this. First time it's ever kicked out on me.

So I uninstalled all the NVSE stuff, and it still crashed when I tried to start a new game.

don't know how many steam games you own, but a sure fire way to make sure the game runs, is rename your current steam folder, download and reinstall steam into a new spot, then re-download just that one game and launch it. IF the game runs now, then the steam data, current / game data was corrupted.
