Seviche's Rules for Roleplaying

Average adult only needs 6 hours (minimum), any less and you will become sleep deprived, no matter how much caffeine you have :P

Everything depends on whether you're "average" or not. ;D

Some people sleep three to four hours a night and are not sleep deprived. Others can barely function if they don't get seven hours.

IMO nine hours is a lot. Six is definitely a more reasonable number.

Most scientific studies refer to a general minimum of 6 hours sleep. There is a minority who require less to feel 'refreshed and awake', which is the result of having enough sleep. It's very debatable so I take your criticism constructively :)

If you don't sleep enough, your body won't be able to repair itself properly and you will be worn down day by day. Not really an argument there, just a statement of fact. Don't sleep enough, you will crash eventually.

Also...I'm finding it hard to RP a Mage now...At lvl 46 with 100 in nearly all magic schools, what the hell do I do. My lightning storm spell, I can literally drain an Elder Dragon's HP on Master Difficulty in a few seconds... I need to definitely mod my game with something to nerf my character lol!

I love it when people use "scientific studies" and thus "fact" together, based on a handful of pop science articles they casually read without actually doing some serious objective study. Or have you? Maybe you know more than I do? Riddle me this: Many studies show that the body repairs itself while you're awake and no more so while you're sleeping. So what kind of repairing are you referring to? Consider that river dolphins sleep one side of their brain at a time given that they can't ever stop paying attention to currents nor stop swimming.

Or, we can drop it since it's nothing to do with Skyrim and I'm sidetracking...

I love your suggestions.

I've sometimes gone even further. If my character dies, I start over at the beginning. Granted, this rule has yet to get me very far into the game.

But, yeah, been doing lots of these too.

One more to consider:

How many coins of gold can one person carry? Coins add up quickly in weight. I've got coins in real life and can't imagine carrying around even just a few hundred all the time. But since the game doesn't have deposit boxes or vaults or a way to burry anything... well, I won't reveal my hiding places.

Coins can (and do ) have different values , so don't overdo it
