Visvalor
As with a lot of us, I've got a billion mods. So I'm trying to squish roughly 150 companion mods that I like into 1 mod. However as you can imagine, with merging, it tends to duplicate some things. How do I merge without any duplication? If I can't do that, how can I easily clean up duplication? David Brasher
The easiest way is to not merge mods that conflict and contain duplication. But that is easier said than done. If you want to merge your 150 companion mods and have no duplication, you are in for a challenge. You are going to be spending vastly much more time in TES CS than you will be spending in TES4Gecko. You are going to be doing a whole bunch of painstaking evaluation in the CS, manually editing things, and modcleaning. You will probably need to go into TES4Edit to modclean out certain things that the CS fails to deal with. You might want to evaluate whether or not the duplicated things harm the game or not. You clearly do not want identical twin companions running around, but if it is just a matter of deadwood objects and scripts residing in your mod and never appearing in the game, just increasing file size, then you might want to just ignore them and leave them alone.
