Marriage

Marriage in Skyrim is presently limited to being a resource for home-cooked meals, extra cash, and uninteresting dialog. Frankly, we need a major marriage overhaul mod that adds depth to what is now just a curiosity.

Major issues include:

- Dialog:

I chose to marry Muiri. She is pretty and her store is convenient, but her constant "Thank you again for resolving my ... problem." speech is incredibly annoying.

There is no option for dialog. An easy modification here could be to include the "what's new around here?" dialog string from the local bartenders.

-Relationship depth:

I come back to my home about once per in-game week to collect my share of the store profits and to drop off items in my chests. There is no incentive to spend any more time with my spouse than this. It seems that this aught to be changed, making marriage a significant part of your Skyrim experience.

-Store:

How is it that my spouse has a store but there is no storefront? It would seem more appropriate for her to be given a stand in the main square of the town in which my house is located.

-Side quests:

Dear, could you go pick up the groceries?

-Doing things outside the house:

For example: Muiri could often be found outside the Hag's Cue in Markarth, walking around the square, visiting the in, talking to other NPC's, etc. before marriage. Now she just sits around in the house. Please change this.

-Sleeping:

She NEVER sleeps....??????
