Anyone for a trip to mars?

So this is the Texture i was able to work up instead of the Solid metal look, more like a bubble (its a Higher resolution Cleaned up version of its normal texture and also Lightened up a bit to be more "White") and than i made a new glass that isint actually see through Reflective but nice and Light type reflective as to block out the sun because that would be an issue on mars i suppose :D

Also what do you think about using the long red repcon rocket instead of the Green bean, and i only recommend this because the Red slim rocket comes with a Version that has an Open hatch so it looks like you can crawl into it, although i suppose we could modify a green beans model.

Maybe edit the script a bit to not shoot all three rockets but two, and the last one malfunctioned and got stuck so the player needs to find the Mars-suit (that you need in Mars) to be able to go in that highly radioactive chamber and manually shift the rocket into place in order to launch it, and board into it as well. Players who have already completed the quest should also find the third rocket unlaunched.

 

Like that, player shouldn't need to choose to go to Mars after completing the quest right away, but whenever they want.

 

I remember there was a suit in the room where Harland or whatever that human's name was who was the mechanic. That could be changed to a space-friendly suit.

If you Sabotage the Rockets one Does get left Behind its just facing the ground instead of the Sky :D

 

But if im editing the model i mine as well just create a whole new Bay and have it only have one rocket it in it than we can set up our own story line and have it show the launching sequence when you clime into it, next thing you know your teleported to mars.

Im starting to just develop my own mod because im doing things way quicker than i should be because im getting way to into this lol. Sorry Devin for taking over your Post like a total boob. Im probably going to develop my own Space Type Mod. Id still be Happy as Hell to Develop a Environment For your Mod. So if you need any Help or Got any Area You would like to be developed i can take a Stab at it. For now im Going to Develop my own little Stuff until this Idea Becomes more "Well Formed" as i should have in the first place :D

How about this. Theres a door in the observation deck where you watch the Ghouls rocket away. Have a scrambled message from mars appear in the command center asking for help, the player can then go down into the deck (that is heavily irradiated) and to the door across from the control center that takes them up to the launch pad. The player should only be able to have a certain amount of items with him since rockets are very weight dependent. Lets say a limit of 80lbs.

 

Getting to Mars should be an endeavor in and of itself. The courier should have to go around and gather some survival supplies and equipment for the rocket in order to survive the journey.

 

Boy oh boy this will be great fun with Hardcore Mode!

Whatever you do, just don't have the head pop off when they walk outside, like was demonstrated in Mothership Zeta.

 

That just doesn't happen. Not even in a hard vacuum. It would take 10 atmospheres of pressure differential to pop someone's head off.

 

That's not saying you shouldn't need a suit. Mars is cold... really cold. Dry ice near the poles, and cold enough to freeze CO2 just about any winters' night. There's hardly any pressure either. An unsuited human would last about a minute in the open "air" on Mars.
