MissingMeshTV
One thing to consider for the 1080 vs. the 1070 is your computer's power supply. The power requirements for the 1080 are higher than the 1070. I went with the 1070 mainly because I didn't want to have to update my power supply as well. It works perfectly with my machine's stock 460w power supply even though the card specs say 500w is the minimum. Just something else to consider. cattywampus4
Yeah this is something I had been considering and was prepared to upgrade if need be. I have a 600w PSU though so would hope that it would handle either the 1070 or 1080. Anyway, I think I am going to order an EVGA 1070 over the weekend and give it a whirl. snapper69
Did you get the 1070? if so was it much of an improvement, I'm considering getting one? I'm currently using an R9 390, with a 28 inch 4K monitor, I was playing FO4 at 4K with everything turned up near the max and it played ok. I dropped it down to 2160 x 1440 and the rate went up to 50 plus.
