Help with converting texture to .DDS file

I am working on a new giant texture and its not showing in the game properly, I just wanted to test my progress out. I tried DXT1 no alpha, DXT1 alpha1 on the texture itself and DTX3 on the normal map... The model comes up blue, and I even placed the old files back in and the model is still blue? I changed the size of the texture to 2048, the original was 1024, but even when I lowered it back to the original size to test it... well it still didn't work :[

I'm converting in PS with the DDS Nvidia plugin by the way.

Are you opening a previous .dds and editing it then re-saving?

What worked for me was make sure the layers are "merged" and unlocked then try saving, keep the default settings that come up right after choosing a file name for your file.

I never bother flattening my textures before I save them, so I doubt that is the problem. I would suggest that after you save the texture, close it and then open it again - If it looks right, you are having an issue with the game, and if it doesn't, you are having an issue with the plugin.

Yea, its the plugin... I opened up the .DDS file and it says "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file". Anyone know how to convert them properly with the Nvidia PS plugin?
