New game, Delete mods in mod manager before starting?

I want to start a new game. I have several mods installed. Should I delete the mods before starting? Will the current mods affect the new character if the mods affect the old character? I.E. perks and inventory.

The mods will apply to the new character when you start the game, depending on what the mods do. The only time I delete a mod is when I do not want it in the game anymore. The mods are for the game, it is just some mods are for a type of character. If it is a mod for a male character and you are playing a female character then the mod will not affect your female character.

BTW. Are you using NMM to install your mods? There is a little glitch on NMM for FO4 but you can work around it by downloading the mod to your computer then click on the new mod and tell it to open with NMM.

Of course it is possible that you will not have a problem with NMM at all. I am not sure what causes the problem but it apparently doesn't mess with everyone.

If you have other questions don't be afraid to ask. The folks, players, coders and moderators are very nice people and don't bite (so you won't even need a shot! LOL). Seriously nice folks here.

OK, I have two followers, if I start a new game will I have the same followers with the same stats and inventory? I have the mod Dwemer cube, will the new character have it? That's why I want to know if mods that affect the character should be removed before a new game.

Of course not, why would you? That makes zero sense.

You start a game completely fresh. Mods that add things at the beginning will give them to you at the beginning (for example if you use Live another life, you will always start in the prison cell where you can choose how to start, instead of on the carriage). There is no way to transfer things from one save game to another.

I'm still not even understanding why you would think this would happen at all, and why you didn't even bother to try and find out. Like, the game won't explode if you hit the "new" button, and you would have figured this out way faster than making this topic and waiting for people to puzzle out why you are asking this seemingly bizarre question.

I started the game from Nexus Mod Manager, which has active mods. What I am asking is , do the active mods affect the new game when launched from NMM?

Also, When I posted my Question, I expected a yes or no answer. I did not expect to be berated for my ignorance.

If my posts irritates so much, ignore.

You asked a question that made no sense.

Mods are blind to save games, they can only see the game as a whole. All mods that are active are loaded into the game when you start it. No matter where you start it from. If you don't want a mod you need to deactivate it.
