Hayabusa
well, once I saw a preserved Japanese Pillow Book from Edo Jidai ( Edo period, early XVIi mid XIX century ). It was, well.... porn is good word, it was sometimes even hardcore.
wesaynothin
I would like to remind you Boethiah controls the sphere of war, so I strongly believe it isn't pornography.
Hayabusa
the one desn`t mean it cannot be the other. And it may be a good idea to mislead. Anyway, I didn`t read carefully this one particular book so I`m not sure.
Malchik
Hayabusa is correct. It is a reference to the Japanese 'Pillow books' and these would be considered as salacious today, although not in their time. I am no expert in the subject but I don't think they were ever intended for public consumption and so I am not sure it would be right to call them pornography as such. It is one of Bethesda's little jokes, no doubt. BTW There is a film called The Pillow Book in which you get to see rather too much of Ewan McGregor! Hayabusa
Yes, I saw PIllow book, it`s by Peter Greenaway. The film was weird, but I liked it. Ture Japanese PIllow Books were intended as something non-public, just for private use. Notice also that in the old Japan the pornography was understood defferently. In books for private use - you could have anything and everything. In public - no, so that for example in Kabuki theatre there were no women acting as it was considered as "immoral" BTW I love these small jokes in the Morrowind. :D
