Problems with menu scrolling and backstepping in fights...

I am following this tutorial:

I got to the part where I installed OBGE and an ENB...

 

Immediately after installing MenuQue (something I believe has to do with it in a big way) and then OBGE (Reloaded) I playtested in the testing hall and got a few crashes...mostly while stepping back or to the side in a fight, but one time when falling from a jump (also during a fight).

 

It may have to do with accidentally holding another key alongside the jump or walking keys, but when trying to playtest this, I didn't find the answer.

 

I thought I had corrected it, but then I changed the ini settings according to instructions, before installing ENB binaries followed by Summer ENB.

 

This time, when I started Oblivion launcher through Steam, the graphics settings freaked out and RESET to default medium. But I wasn't sure whether the inis had also been reset so I kept going, remembering that the graphics settings resetting happens to me a lot and I don't know why.

 

I playtested for awhile, before it dawned one me that one of the major frustrations of my past install had come back....the problem with being unable to scroll through the menus with the menu bars, and trying to use the menu bars at all will quickly scroll the menu back to the top.

 

In order to scroll through things like the main menu settings, inventory, etc...I have to use the arrow keys. And even that can be extremely finicky and roll the menu back to the top with me then being unable to scroll at all....this is something that was extremely frustrating in the past install, returning yet again, making it unplayable in some cases to the point I have to close and restart the game to simply scroll to an inventory item.

 

So, TL;DR:

1) Performed a clean install. Nothing was left.

2) Followed the graphics tutorial to the point of OBGE (before that only unofficial patches and OBSE). Changed ini settings according to instructions. Stopped after that.

3) Playtesting.

4) Crashes with side and back stepping in fights, occasionally but not always.

5) Started game again after installing binaries and Summer ENB. Stopped.

6) Playtesting.

7) Again crash in fights, but again not every single time I step, only sometimes when side or back stepping.

8) Menu scrolling problem, forced to use arrow keys to scroll which eventually break as well, requiring to close the game to be playable.

 

 

I don't know what to do with this point but clearly: I feel it is connected to MenuQue or the ENB...maybe.
