QuantumBios
So I'm totally looking forward to the Special Edition release coming out in a month. I played Skyrim a lot when it first came out, but got bored when I became overpowered and never finished. Started to learn about mods when Fallout 4 came out, looked into the NMM for Skyrim and have been having a blast with the game again. (New spells, Complete Game Overhaul, etc.) I am not a modder and haven't been able to figure out TES5Edit, LOOT tells me there's tons of ITM errors and such, but since the game is working, I've just run with it. No idea how to use Wyre Bash for compiled loot lists and such. So confusing!) Once Special Edition is released, what I'd like to do is fully mod it up so that it's graphically maxed out, as user-friendly as possible (SkyUI, maps, etc) and such, and immersive (CGO, extra lore-related missions, Hearthstone upgrades, etc). Should I plan on waiting for a couple weeks after to start my playthrough? Are the mods for Legendary Edition going to be upgraded for the Special Edition? Is anyone compiling a master mod list for the Special Edition? Hardware shouldn't be an issue for most PC players. Something that will give the greatest bang for the buck in terms of graphics, user interface, and content. Well, this is my first post on Nexus forums. Thanks for any advice/answers. DoctorKaizeld
You should wait a couple weeks before modding. A lot of existing mods will not work for the rererelease of skyrim. Some modders will come back to update their mods to work or work better with the rererelease of skyrim. We do not know who though i hope a good number do because we cant update their mods without their permission. No no one is compiling a 'master mod list'. If someone does do not follow it. There is a reason this site doesnt support compilation mods. In fact there is a rule saying no compilation mods. If someone else can explain why for me thatd be great... I know i will butcher it if i try. Go read the site rules again if you need to know i believe they explain it there. Also welcome to the forums, i am the Sir Lord Inquisitor Qwerty Z Eldar. QuantumBios
Thanks for the input SIR INQUISITOR  Argh. I think I'll try figuring out the ins & outs of the NMM while I wait for the SE. Learn how to play a vanilla game, and be able to switch to a modded one. Still working on that! I'll check the site rules for why no master mod list. I would imagine it's probably because of incompatibility among mods. One thing I noticed regarding mods. When I used the built in modding option for Fallout 4, my game would CTD, perma-load, etc quite often. I'm finding using the NMM with Skyrim to be much more stable and user-friendly. Thanks again! No, there is no "Master mod list" because there is no one set of mods everyone needs. Everyone's own game is different. Thats the point.
