Agnot2006
I have never moved an esp from F3 to NV before and need some help please.I have a companion I spent a lot of time on with topics etc and I want to bring her with me to NV. I have created a copy of her esp and removed all references to the Fallout world apart from the Cell she is created in which now has no outside connections.I have placed it in the NV Data folder and can see it with the NV Geck but it won’t load. Do I have to do something else maybe like change the master file from F3 to New Vegas? Can anyone please help?
micalov
Not sure how different the companion system is between FO3 and NV but only simply moving the esp, change the master in FN/FO3edit to FalloutNV.esm and remove the version info should do it for that part. Quetzlsacatanango
There are some other difference around the wheel... The choices on the wheel connect to specific dialog topics - followerswait, followershired, followerstrade, etc. For the vanilla followers all of their dialog is in the quest vnpcfollowers. For your follower they can be in any quest, but you have to use those specific topics, and make sure all the result scripts are set to do things like trade, set wait/follow variables, etc.
Agnot2006
Thank You micalov That worked perfectly although I did have to use F03Edit to modify the esp not FNVEdit. But once done FNVEdit will open the file as well.Thank You again Thank You Quetzlsacatanango that’s just the info I need to get everything running again quest wise. I was hoping to remove the wheel from her completely if it’s possible
Quetzlsacatanango
The wheel is added when you do setplayerteammate 1. If you don't do that, I would guess the wheel wouldn't show up. I don't know what else that would affect (or why you wouldn't want the wheel for that matter :))
Agnot2006
Thank You Quetzlsacatanango that has solved my problem.I just think personally that the wheel is a lot more immersion breaking than the topic selection in Fallout 3 at least you can still see who you are supposed to be talking to.
