sgman1
There are some mods out there that happen to use SKSE and some others that use Script Dragon. None of them have explicitly stated whether to use one or the other or which one the mod is compatible with. I was wondering which ones should I use? I really want to use both the mods that use SKSE as well as those with Script Dragon but I'm assuming you can't use them both together. Is that true? Draco856
There's no problem with using ScriptDragon with SKSE. I use them both.
ishmaeltheforsaken
They do entirely different things. There's no compatibility issue.
griale
I've downloaded the last version of ScriptDragon and it worked just fine, but when i got SKSE it stoped working... How can i make both run at the same time? Thanks in advance
Raella33
I was going to ask a very similar question.I know that SKSE makes for "more advanced and dynamic modding and herp de derp derp" etcWhat on Earth does SD do if not work with Scrips like SKSE? efikmalydoskonaly
Um, I have a question about SKSE. Did anyone of you notice a performance hit while using it? I was running Skyrim on "ultra" settings with 4GB enabler before, and everything went fine. Now I installed Skyrim UI and SKSE, and it getts laggy from time to time. Holty07
SKSE injects more things into the game for modders to use. Commands in the console for them to play with and make scripts more efficient.Dragon Script runs scripts from outside the game that can be written in C+ I think. They both do great jobs of adding more options for modders to use in game. They shouldn't conflict at all as they are run entirely differently. As for fps hit, it may be the mod that required you to install SKSE, it shouldn't affect the game really at all. It simply adds more commands.

Nokyto
Hmm, i was running skyrim 4gb and skyUI with SKSE no problem until now i installed SD (for more hotkeys) and the 4gb version doesn't detect SD and when i run the original exe SD works aswell as skyUI but i get a warning messege on the top right saying skyUI could not detect the required version of the SKSE. My skyrim and SKSE are up to date and i'm guessing so is SD. If someone could offer me a solution i would be greatful. I can't play with 8 hotkeys and there is no way i'm going back to the old UI. EDIT: SKSE and SD run fine when i use the SKSE loader, but i still can't get the skyrim 4gb to run SD. Ah well, i'll look around more. runicNomad
i hope they take out that warning from skyUI soonthere are about 4 different script extensions now since Beth took so long getting the CK and so solutions are out there.I imagine having all script extensions running simultaneously with everything else will not be as elegant as running one extender.I use dragon script and have not gotten skse because it forces me to update to 1.3 of the game.others have said they work fine together as they do different things. They do however run int he background and run processes so they are going to add some load over time.
