Bugs, Glitchies and Crashes

I am getting a bit hacked off with this game and I don't know if the problem is Steam the game or both, perhaps someone could please shed some light on the problems.

 

So far these are the problems I've had

 

 

• 
   
  
• Crashes to desk top at least twice every night.
  
• Couldn't buy the house in Riften, quest seemed to be broken or glitched
  
• Couldn't finish the quest after joining the Imperials as quest seemed to broken or glitched after taking Fort Amol
  
• Have, "Report to Skald" in my journal 3 times, but reporting does nothing.
  
• Can't finish the quest Last King of the Ayleids, despite having the book in my pack and speaking to the mage at Winterhold is pointless as there is no dialogue to give the book to him.
  
• Bought Vigilance the dog, told it to wait at home while I joined up after the war was over, went home and the dog was gone.
  
• Have "Brelyna's spell to wear off" stuck in the journal.
