Untarget Opponent/NPC dodge fix

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with 50+ acrobatics, if I stand right in front of an NPC or monster and push (for instance) block+back+jump I get no dodge move. It seems when the crosshair is on the NPC/monster dodge does not work at all! If there is a way to untarget whatever is in front of you, I imagine a mod could be made to untarget right as the correct key combo is pressed, fixing this "problem". (As I see it anyhow).

The whole "dodge" reflex is not a very grand perk. It rolls you past, sure, and you can dodge a blow this way, but in the time it takes to turn around (even swiftly) the NPC has already turned to face you, so it's pretty much worthless. Unless you're a few paces away, can manage to roll -right- past him to be up on his / her flank and as you turn get a quick suker shot... but that requries percise timing and accurate assesment of distance and it's just not worth it.

I would recomend not using that perk, pretend you don't have it and just jump up someplace high and fire arrows at the helpless saps.

Well all the same, I'd like to see if it works better if I could use it as expected. I don't imagine rolling to the side will help much, but doing a back-flip is great fun and does actually propel you backwards faster then running backwards for dodging a blow. Plus you can back-flip when you are not running during a battle (to save fatigue) and still go faster then if you were.

I guess for now I'll just look away from the target before I do a back-flip (which works great, it's just annoying).

UPDATE: Dodge doesn't actually work when you are standing near anything, not just an NPC. But, if you stand near a wall and look straight up or down, and then block+jump+back you CAN dodge. There has to be a way to change this in the console or INI file right?
