SickFak
First I got FPS problems. After some investigating with my friend we found out my ATi 5870 wasn't working on "full power" or something, as my friend explained so it would be easy to understand for a dumwitz like me; "It was working as if not ingame" or whatever. That plus by turning down "AA mode" to performance in CCC, problem with FPS was solved. But now I got some crazy translucent textures. It's really bad, I can see through objects, big and small; walls on forts get teared down, even the very ground I'm standing on sometimes and I see the second layer (which was surprising, why would they make a second layer on walls and surfaces?) It's horrible and makes me cry :( The only changes made as far as I remember were "activating" ATi to work properly (simply by restarting PC as it turned out), turning down "AA mode" and some other unimportant tweaks in CCC, turning up AA to 4 (now that FPS was fixed) and turning on tree branches and rock shadows in ini or something (but my friend assured me that couldn't cause it). Also cpu was slightly cloaked. So I'm not sure what could possibly cause that. Oh, also my friend did reinstall the drivers and it seemed to fix it, but now it's back and it's mean :( ...and I can't recall what exactly was done after it was fixed. We must've changed something after we fixed it, that would cause it, and then I just noticed it too late. Surely it couldn't have started randomly by itself... Makes me so sad,Plz help :(

InAComaDial999
Bump... Go into CCC and hit the "Reset to Defaults" button in the 3D settings. I have a 5870, had the same problem and that cured it for me.

RejectedCamel
I had the same issue despite having an Nvidia card - a GTX 570. I actually fixed it by installing 2k HD textures, try doing that, it'll make the game prettier in the process. http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/psyduck.gif
