New land and quest mods memory intensive?

One thing to bear in mind: just because a mod is large in size, it does not mean that it will cause any kind of noticeable effect on script latency / FPS. As an example, Interesting npcs generally has its assets dispersed throughout the world--it isn't as if you're running into 100 npcs added by that mod in the same cell. I happen to run a fairly old win 7 system and notice zero impact from Interesting NPCs.

Perhaps. I have yet to test Interesting NPCs. My system is so heavy in VRAM usage that I am now scrounging for every bit of VRAM left. I will take your advice though :D

@nephenee13 - what do you mean by that ? I'm not disagreeing, I'm just trying to be clear about how it may be troublesome for a slower computer. I think it's definitely true that for the cells that ICA adds--well, they're a bit intense and would overwhelm some systems. But does this affect other areas of skyrim in some way ?

It has major feature creep and for some reason has a ton of scripts doing stuff even when aren't in the museum/house

- Interesting NPCs - I've found this to be no problem at all. I recommend it.

- Civil War Overhaul - Not bad, may not play well with other mods that change these quests/factions though. Recommended.

- Summerset Isles - Intensive. I could not run it without first uninstalling a lot of other large quest mods. Partly because the textures are large by default and possibly not optimized, though unpacking the BSA and downsizing everything did not help me much.

- Shadow of Morrowind - unknown

- Falskaar & Wyrmstooth & Elsweyr - FS and WT are great mods and not really too heavy. Both recommended.

- Moon and Star - Actually a pretty small quest mod, shouldn't give you issues.

- Wheels of Lull - Increased some load times for me, I ended up uninstalling and not playing it.

- Legacy of the Dragonborn - An older version was not great. Current version fine, and optional lower res textures. I still have issues in the Safehouse if I adopt kids there, so I don't. Recommended.

I have similar specs to yours and run ~400 mods. I should mention that I am running Legendary Edition with Legacy of the DB, Falskaar, Wyrmstooth, Moon and Star, Interesting NPCs, and CWO all at the same time right now, including several other heavy mods, including SL's Amorous.

If you are having VRAM issues and crashes, definitely get ENBoost, Crash Fixes, MSI Afterburner, and the Swiftshader .DLL. Look into what you need to do to get them all configured properly for your system and you'll get a lot more out of it.
