rennon
Hi, guys, I've had Oblivion since it first came out but am just now working towards modding it, so yeah, my knowledge on this stuff is extremely limited. I've been searching for an answer to this for hours but can't find a solution. I've got Wrye Bash and successfully installed some patches with it. Now I'm trying to install Really Textured Normal Maps and I'm stuck. Everything seems to be set up correctly. There is a green square with a + in it beside the mod name. Isn't this supposed to have a check in the box? I right click on the mod then go to "install", a loading bar comes up and finishes. But the mod has not been moved from the Installers tab to the Mods tab. What am I doing wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.
Keirgarth
First off, the + appears next to a mod when it has been merged in the bashed patch. This usually happens with mods that can be fully imported into the bashed patch and have no need of their esp to be checked to run any more. As to the question about not seeing anything in Wrye Bash on the mods tab, this is because the mod you are talking about is what is called a replacer mod, or esp'less mod. Since the mod is only dealing with textures and not meshes it does not need an esp in order to run, it just does.
