New Vegas, a more tactical fps

Hello everyone, I'm posting here because I know this is a wonderful community of New Vegas Modders. So, this is the best place to ask, what are the best mods for turning New Vegas into a Tactical FPS game. A game sort of simialar to Battlefield, Squad, or Insurgency. What I'm going for here is realism, tactical shootouts, and gunplay. I shouldn't have to use three mags of 556 to drop a man, their should be an emphasis on not only have npc teammates in battle, but utilizing them effectively. Tell me of any and all mods that do this please. Thank you

Hello!

Off the top of my head, I can think of three mods which would suit you down to the ground. First of all though, I must point out that the game engine limits more 'realistic' behavior - for instance, you will rarely be in a firefight with an opponent over 100m away from you. FNV is primarily an RPG, not a tactical FPS.

Now to make myself useful. First off we have the Realistic Weapon Damage mod which, as the name suggests, makes weapon damage more realistic. It is not uncommon to one-shot kill other NPCs with this mod.

Do you get tired of your weapon automatically reloading whenever it's empty? Maybe you want to switch to another weapon before reloading ... especially when a Supermutant is about to crush you! The Manual Reload mod provides a simple fix, and also remembers the ammo count of your weapon even after switching to another one.

An important mod for providing increased control over your companions is the JIP Companions Command & Control mod. This allows you to have more than one human NPC, and gives you increased control over their general behavior, as well as giving you the ability to order them to move to a certain spot or attack a specific NPC. In this way, you and your companions can actually fan out a little, but it does require a bit of practice to become proficient with it.

There are other mods out there which can provide a more realistic and immersive experience. Personally, I would recommend checking out the 'Fear & Loathing in New Vegas' mod guide, which provides a comprehensive set of instructions for installing must-have mods and necessary mod utilities, such as the New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE).

I hope this helps!
