A good tutorial series?

So I've decided to start making my own mods since my ideas don't seem to be the common sort >.>'

 

But of course my first road block is finding a good repository of tutorials for specific things. For example how to make a consumable that gives you scrap when used.

Best way to learn is download a mod that does something similar to what you are are looking to do, an revearse engineer it by learning how it does whatever it is. Having an solid idea before staring is pretty much a must, the less abstract the better.

 

That said, there isn't really a definete place for tutorials. You pretty much have to pick up tidbits on different forums, which is why it's best to have a question before looking for the answers.
