Beware of the 1.3 patch it kills your FPS and even breaks your game, let me clear things up so you understand

My father updated his game, loads fine...went into his saved game went from a constant 55-61 FPS straight down to 10 and even dips lower and sometimes slightly higher around the 15-18 fps mark

He is really pissed because his rig can obviously run it great and everything is overclocked like crazy on what he has lol

Now for myself, i launch Skyrim, goes to the main menu screen, nothing just blank with the Dragon symbol, no menu options so i literally CANNOT play

also i should note Serious Sam 3 updated and for both of us our FPS dropped like crazy and is not playable because of how crappy the fps dropped...and for those of you who have played a Serious Sam game know fps sucks on that with the hordes of enemies, even worse on mental difficulty >.<

So anyways BEWARE OF THE PATCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the game is poorly optimized with whatever they did in those patches. I'm going to wait to see how other people handle whatever update comes out next before I update.

Side note: In my case, the game gets better FPS if I am NOT over clocking. Just sayin.

That's weird you get better FPS if you do not OC, my father just restored everything to default and now averages 21 FPS in skyrim...damn this sucks lol

Really? ....

It seem every patch breaks something vital.

They should stop patching the PC version, and just patch the PS3, Xbox, and give us the CK. I bet a week is all it takes, and the game is fixed.

I don't know whats happening to everyone, but my game runs fine, even after the update... And thats running on Ultra with other programs running in the background (Because i am incapable of NOT multi tasking)

I thought the meaning with updates was to fix things and not break/make things worse

someone need to tell Bethesda that they should be doing it the other way around. fix not break :wallbash:

*sigh* I really hope that my game isn't broken.

I think betheda's biggest error isn't that they want to patch the game, but rather set a launch date too early - and then stuck with it.

Damnit Damnit ! I have been playing offline since the first patch failed so badly, I not only

Refrained from downloading 1.2 I full on refrained from ever logging into steam....

I still cant log into steam. I've heard from multiple sources that even if I start steam

in offline mode, ORDER STEAM not to update automatically and then go online

after issuing those orders, I will get updated.

So....

I suppose I'm still not allowed to play leftfordead2...

When CS: GO comes out, I'm gonna just give up and let steam patch

skyrim into oblivion (lol) and stop playing when GO comes out.

*EDIT: I think the framerate issue is related to the fix they added to

prevent FPS from strongly affecting your rate of turning in game.

for ex: if your framerate sank low, you would turn more slowly for

how far your mouse was being moved. beth fixed this issue and possible

introduced framelag by increaseing the number of updates performed

WHILE the framerate is low.

previously: framelow = Do less actions therby use less cpu.

now its framelow = Do same actions, thereby use more cpu

Ya...except, no it doesn't.

Patch is fine, fps is fine. Saves are fine.

Gotta love when people post total PEBKAC like it's universal.
