greekrage
Okay, I re-installed Fallout 4 and deleted about 12G of stuff off of my hard drive, and still no good. The creation kit crashes when trying to load Fallout4.esm. I have no idea what's going on here, and I'm hoping someone else can help me out. can you please show us your pc specs ?? Also you said you get an error but didnt specify what it says. You may also want to look at the event viewer in windows and see if you find any info about what crashed and why. possible culprit ..I can confirm that having a pagefile smaller than 12Gb will cause CK to crash a lot because i tried to lower mine to 8Gb one day trying to save some SSD space and ck would crash randomly and even at startup till i upped it to 12Gb again.http://prntscr.com/csqmil
steve40
I found out the hard way that running FRAPS in the background will crash CK every time. So if you use any external screen capture or FPS counters, try shutting them down. Also, if you have any non-vanilla subfolders in DATA/SCRIPTS it can crash the CK. I had made a subfolder called "backups" and put some scripts in it and it was enough to CTD the CK every time I tried to open it. So make sure you don't have any crap in your data folders.
