ZachariaszPL
If bBloodSplatterEnabled doesn't work, try installing SkyUI. Worked for me.
Mildregn
For me it was the Dark nights/Darker nights mods that make mine crash ...
lefrost
This is driving me insane. The only thing I switched on my MODs was the ENG, I placed the Sharpshooters and now my game CTDs when I open the map or when I exit the place I'm in this save.Which is incredibly weird, for I can create a newgame and I can enter/exit buildings without worry but it'll CTD as soon as I open the map. Anyone has an idea besides the bloodsplatter thingy?I'd really like avoid re-installing over 200 mods. Edit:f*#@ me in the ass and call me a lolita.I found the problem.Freaking ENB isn't supposed to be installed via NMM. Just unpack everything as it describes to do and you're set.So much for reading. Thank you so much.Same here - just had this problem.Move the bBloodSpatterEnabled=0 to your SkyrimPrefs.ini file (remove it from Skyrim.ini) Cheers! ivanbqnov
my culprit was the Simple Crosshair mod found here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26387/? if it wasn't for snapmoderator, I would never guess... camilota
Hello! Been having the same problem with crashes, I did add the lines on .ini , didtn crash me but didnt solve either, well, since the lines r about [screenSplatter]bBloodSplatterEnabled=0 ( blood) I figured it was the addon I was using ( Enhanced blood); Bingo! When I removed the addon it stopped crashing when I get my map open. Dunno what one thing has to do with another ( because im noob on that s***) but take a look on addons you might have that changes blood or w.e similar. Thank you for the line on .ini cause I would never figure it out on my own <3lil update tip: I'd advise you guys to donwload Loot ( known as Boss) it will do a full check on you addons conflicts, missing files and also organize the load (which is very important) can fix most of silly crashes instead of you installing/unninstaling your addons (save you a hell of time) Edited October 23, 2015 by camilota
Starynitelights2
Hey. So for me, the problem WASN'T ANYTHING to do with blood splatter. It was to do with a freakin' mod that added a map marker on the dang map, and that crashed it. So for example, if you have say.. a mansion mod, for Whiterun castle, or "The Evil Mansion", or stuff like that, it'll crash it, because once I removed those.. voila.. it worked again. How annoying!!!!
Kaidra
Just another person to say that removing blood spatter from the ini fixed this problem for me too. Thanks! it worked!
geekiejo
these lines I added to skyrim.ini [screenSplatter]bBloodSplatterEnabled=0 I don't know why this would cause the map/game to crash, but removing these lines solved the problem. Took me an hour to find that out... Hope this can help others, or maybe it just crashes for meFor those who use MOD Organizer, make this change to the skyrim.ini file located in mod organizer directory > profiles
