Okay, I recently started up a new game after being finished with Skyrim for approximately a year... I was happy with my mods and everything so I went through and upgraded them where necessary and uninstalled/reinstalled and started a new save (Updated to the new Legendary Edition Unofficial Patch and all).

 

I use BVFE - Serana and Family, and yet when got to Dimhollow Crypt and got Serana out of the prison she looks like an Altmer mated with a Klingon instead of like this https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/110/images/39549-1-1375559414.jpg

 

Needless to say I'm very unhappy. I'd like her face to work correctly and not be disfigured/grotesque.

 

I tried moving BVFE to the bottom of the load order but she's still fugly.

 

I use AFT and a few other things; I'll be happy to provide a mod order if requested (is there a way to make ModOrganizer spit one of those out in a text file to save time?)...

you have sorted the load order with LOOT? i see you put BVFE_Serana.esp that is a good idea but you should use TES5Edit to see what the mod is actually overwriting. BVFE - Serana and Family adds some textures and meshes as well make sure they didn't get overwritten by other mods.

Yeah, I sorted the load order with Loot and reinstalled the mod and all and moved it down in the load order. However it didn't work so I downloaded Seranaholic which while it didn't solve the original problem I was having it mitigated everything and at least she now looks attractive if not the same as before.

you know this remembered me that i didn't check if my Serana is broken i'm using the BVFE - Serana and Family as well i will see if maybe is a problem with the mod.

What other mods modify her? She was working fine before I did all the updates; so somewhere there's a mod that now modifies her appearance that didn't before.

 

BVFE is the only one that modified her appearance before; the other one that I knew of only changed the vampire lord life drain nerf while she was a companion.

 

That's two; where's the third one?

 

EDIT: According to TES5Edit which I did run the only two mods in that chain that modify Serana AT ALL are USLEEP and BVFE - Serana, thus I'm forced to conclude that something is borked in USLEEP that causes her face to be f*#@ed up that BVFE can't fix.

 

Serana / Harkon and Valerica aren't ever supposed to have the scrunched in nose and facial ridges according to the wiki's and didn't in the base game... the problem didn't present itself before I installed it so I'm faced with removing USLEEP or figuring out how to make it work together without screwing things up.

 

I'll check out bashed patches but I've already fixed it well enough to tolerate it.
