Questions concerning scripting for a little immersion mod I'm thinking about.

Hi all, I'm new to modding and I'm wondering how I can latch a simple script in the workshopparentscript to register for the custom event DailyUpdate.

The thing is, I want to check the happiness value of my settlements at the same time DailyUpdate occurs, and then disable some references depending on happiness and last time since lost raider attack.

I'm relatively new to this scripting as I am mostly a world builder, navmesh etc. What I want to do in essence is have the dirt, bushes, dirt decals on buildings be disabled on a trigger depending on happiness value and time elapsed/food/beds. To simulate the settlers cleaning around when their needs are met and some time has passed. So the debris would then be classed in layers of objects that are disabled / enabled depending on those factors, small dirt on floors first, exterior stains on walls later etc. When they fail to repel a raider attack, the references are enabled again to simulate trashing the place and then a minimum of 1 week is needed before the happiness/food/bed combo is able to trigger the immersive "cleanup" by the settlers once again.

The limit to that is the placed objects by the player are unaffected by this "cleanup", but all the normal structures that can't be normally deleted via workshop would feel more alive and less static. One could even add more dirt to enable in case the raiders successfully trash the place, etc.

Would that be affected by the dreaded "cell reset bug" or has that been fixed?

Thank you very much!!!
