SaturnFX
ok, so, ready for my next character then. Think this time I am going to follow a famous character in lotrs..so what choices are there? Gandalf: Breton(until a half elf race is made, which is closer to what he is...sorta) Heavy mage abilitys (all trees) and some decent speechcraft. Uses a longsword and staff as weapons. No armor at all, but in its place, enchanted stuff. (so, lots of perk points on maxing out enchantment firstLore furthering: Should choose ultimate neutrality in the war early on. decide after the dragon threat is over. Traveller and simple knowledge seeking for peaceful purposes. Judgement call after learning the extent of both sides (pros and cons). First stop, College of winterhold Saruman: Same as gandalf, but maxed speechcraft, and also much darker path.Power seeking. May side with the stormcloaks for personal motive (smaller rulerships are easier to conquor). Break apart empire to usher in a new age of conquest. First stop. College Aragorn: Nord (perhaps talo's bloodline). Light armor, some restoration, double handed sword, archery, Necromancer to some extent (until a spell comes out to spawn a army of the dead anyhow..thralls will have to work). Sneak skills, Illusion (rally).Should steer clear of cities unless necessary. Spend most time far out in the wilderness tracking down anything that could threaten travellers or cities. Unsure which side he would join in the war...tough call really. Work on speechcraft later in the game (initially he is a rather rough and abrasive type person). First stop, thieves guild. (mans got to eat) Gimli: Currently impossible until mods come out to shorten down and add a proper dwarf race Legolas: High elf. Archery, light armor, sneak, duel daggers, sword, Moderate speechcraft, enchantment, restorationLike Aragorn, spend most of the time away from cities. remain in the southern foresty areas for "base". Might even find a ruin that has the creature comforts and call that home. First stop: ..nowhere..go hunting and build up archery. Riverwood companion Faendal would be a good idea for training purposes Boromir: Imperial. Full spectrum weapons, heavy armor, high speechcraft (guy was an inspiration before darkness set in). Illusion (rally/Fear(horn))Go with the companions, go with imperials asap to get rank. For the greater good of Cyrodiil should be the rule of thumb. (and ultimately to slaugher the Aldmeri Dominion once you gained enough power artifacts) Faramir: Imperial. Longsword and bow, sneak, pickpocket, etc..thief/assassin path) For the Imperials of course. Go to thieves guild. Lurtz: Orc. Vampire full stage (to get the approprate hate going). Heavy armor, Archery, alchemy, Illusion(fear), Conjuration, Head for the Dark Brotherhood, and try to get infected asap...don't feed. Get all your stuff from murdering. HOWEVER, first do the Whiterun quest (helping the jarl's boy out) to get the ebony blade (evil blade)..use approprately when your ready for your bad guy start. Thrall as many orcs as you can. Any and all hobbits: archery (until stone throwing mod is available). Full thief abilitys, Alchemy (cooking also..but thats not really a perk tree). Speechcraft focused on bartering. Enchanting to a degree (they like their shiny magical stuff)Hobbit race also impossible until mods to allow halfling race. Who did I miss, what did I get wrong, what did I forget Also, what is needed:White horse texture for dark brotherhood horse (shadowmere turned into shadowfax until mods come out that allows a conjuration spawning) For when playing gandalf. One ring super overpowered that turns you invisible and gives major bonuses to all, but also makes people hate you if worn (or some sort of major drawback..must be destroyed)Dwarves!!! (proper ones, not craptastic lost race elf dwarves of tes)Multi-companion modCloaks of sneaking.
Aluminumfoil
Legolas was a wood elf in the books, if I recall correctly. You'll probably want some mods that make elves more human looking, if you're playing a Middle Earth import.
