Better House in Solitude

How would it be if somebody would make a big Basement i a style of a Nord Ancient Ruin

in the House of Solitude. Here are my Ideas.

*Many Bookshelves, Chests, Weaponholders and Armorholders (this wooden Dummys)

*Different Rooms for Alchemy, Enchanting, Cooking, Smithing (with a Melter, Letherscale, and Forge), and and and....

*42 Beds for all Followers, 3 nice Places for the Dogs.

*The Followers would stay in the Basement when you leave them and take an other.

*Maybe a Necromancer Room/Hall with some Deadra/Deamons/Lichs as Doorguards. (I remember the Room from the 1 Coin Spookhouse in Oblivion, it had a awesome Basement and a nice Ambience)

*A big Alchemygarden with a big mass of resources

*.... (open for more Ideas)....

The first Idea cames from here

Well.... I do not quite agree there with you.

I DO agree a despserate overhaul is VERY needed!

My thoughts:

Desperate needs:

1)Decent Library: some REALLY need a decent library to store our books. The Library would also be an Office with nice chair, desk-table, ...

2) Revamped alchemy/Enchant/Smithy place: (Perhaps in a "second floor basement"?) where everyting is placed logically, again with the very much needed storage space. Also add a desk/small office like space in between the Alchemy/Enchant spaces, were we could keep our notes, and study the crafts. The Alchemy corner should have a decent Ingredient Storage system. The Smithy with Smelter/Tanning Rack/Grindstone/Workbench should be placed together, since that all is needed in Armory Crafting. The Smithy should also have a wood chopping corner.

3)Decent Kitchen! For a "Noble" house, a more roomy place would be welcome, with once more storage space, work table, ... (Note: since the price of Proudspire Manor, I believe the "random stuff" (cups, plates, jugs, ...) could be replaced by Dwemer versions. A noble price would allow a more noble setting, no?).

Decent Bedroom: Come on, that's not a bedroom! I am a Jarl, for crying out loud!!! It is filled with bum-style furniture, cramped in space...

Armory: A space containing display cases, a heap of mannequins, you name it.

In general: Prouspire Manor is simply a major dissapointment.

It's VERY cramped, badly ordened, with lots of useless stuff that basically wastes space.

For a whopping 36.000!!! gold, you basically got a badly furnished cardboard box.

Bethesda made a serious mistake there...

OR they figured we had to use ALL houses simultaneously: 1 for smithing, 1 for Alchemy, 1 for Library, ...

@ Cro86:

Maybe a Necromancer Room/Hall with some Deadra/Deamons/Lichs as Doorguards.

Either you are a Manic Depressed Suicidal' date=' you are completely insane, or you do not care about the game as RP: Necro's in Solitude would be butchered slowly, then tortured, to be finally hung by a rubber rope killing you not by suffocation, but by skull/brain trauma!

Necro- and similar evil doings cannot be implemented in a Major City.

That is why the Necro's and other evil bastahs are in the wilds, in Caves, or in houses far from society...

@ Cro86:

42 Beds for all Followers...

Umm, well, kill EVERYTHING in the Solitude Imperial Legion Fortress, and rebuild it into a massive bedroom? o_O

@ Cro86:

A big Alchemygarden with a big mass of resources

Actually, you do have the biggest garden possible: SKYRIM!!!

All your heart can desire is out there...

@ Cro86: I do like several ideas: like a "waiting room" for your companions.

A high quality room with nice bed, small bar, ..., something truly cozy. Good idea.

A Pet Kennel: a "cell" in the basement, with hay, water supply, ... Even dogs need some luxury time off, every so often...

Point is, Cro86, that some of your ideas are not really correct towards Skyrim's (actually rather: Morrowind's) setting.

I agree that an "evil abode" would be awesome, but just not in a major town...

Overall very good thinking, all things considering, thank you.
