desrone
So I installed the game recently with all the dlc, and have a bunch of mods installed as well, and while in the beginning vault area, whenever i've tabbed out (fullscreen mode), the game tends to crash without warning, just closes. These are the mods I have and their order:DLCRobotDlcworkshop01DlcCoastDlcworkshop02Dlcworkshop03DlcNukaWorldRobot Home defenceSettlers RenameBetter settlersBetter settlers nolollygaggingBetter settlers cleanfacepackBettersettlers mortalsoldierspackFunctionaldisplays-collectiblesAA FusionCityRisingSuperaffinityNoaffinitycooldownCarryweight2000Carryweight200strengthEAMRDoomdeserteagleanymodanyweaponcrossbowinsignificant object remover Any help from people that know mods or know if any specific mods dont work well together or cause crashes, or if im even not identifying the problem correctly, please let me know
bill8872
I have never alt-tabed with this game, but if I had to guess, it is with the game itself. FO4 is, in my opinion a very unstable game. Some days I can play for 5 or 6 hours with no crashes. Other's constant crashing.
TwilightOne
Skyrim and Oblivion if I remember as far had problems with alt-tabbing.Use the (run in a window) option in the launcher with the (borderless) tick box. Also use the same resolution windows runs at or you'll have your game in a corner and the rest of your desktop under it.It is an engine bug, it doesn't like changing focus. When you run a game in fullscreen (not a window) the OS will unload some assets and put more to the game, but nowadays if your graphics card is more than recommanded specs you shouldn't have a problem with having the desktop loaded "under" the fallout 4 application. You will probably not have any fps drop, or a very slight one, but your game will be able to alt-tab in and out.
