Copy everything in your Skyrim/data folder and paste it to your new PC.

You would have to connect them together, and depending on the operating system, get each computer to see each other. Windows 10 is a real pain in the ass to get it to work. At least it is for me.

It might just be easier to download the game, NMM, and the mods on the new PC, than copying them.

I think the saves are also saved on Steam's cloud. Those are easier to copy over thow.

i launched it with other game (the witcher 3, no mods installed) and it worked fine.

have i done something wrong? i just copied the files from my old PC from steamapps/common/skyrim and pasted it in the same location in my new PC.

Did you install NMM, Steam and games through their respective launchers? You hardware will be different. So the programs might have a hard time seeing each other.

Copying your Skyrim data folder over to the new PC is kinda the same as manually installing your mods. So they should all work.

After installing NMM you can do the same, but I am not sure how NMM recognizes this process.

Yeah this doesn't work with programs. Windows 10 supports a side company called Laplink that boasts that it can transfer all data AND apps as well as even clone your own pc into your new one. I didn't use it when I built my new rig recently cos it was like $24 and I didn't see it say anywhere if I could put it all into an external to move it around.

Moving data is ok such as how my witcher save files got lost so I copy and pasted thr one on my old HDD into my new SSD and it worked fine. However, taking a HDD or ssd from an old pc and putting them into a new one will mean your installed programs will no longer work.

My advice would be to keep your old download folder safe so that you can just install everything again into the proper drive on the new pc.you should be able to reinstall NMM and slide over your mods that are in the mod folder.
