I got excited...

...until I took an arrow to the knee...and by that I mean anti-climactic.

I'm level 53, and I've just now discovered the Kagrenzel entrance. To go through that entrance kind of an entry, being examined by a mysterious glowing ball and then get dropped like a straight mile in the air into a pool of water. Now that was awesome. I replayed it when I realized what it was just to go through the thrill of it again lol. It got me really excited to see what that "dwarven" (or w/e it's called) underground world would entail or what that mysterious glowing ball was...BUT no...it turns out just to oddly lead to Stony Creek Cave that I had cleared out long ago. I was hoping for something epic, kind of like Black Reach. Oh well, the vertical drop was pretty sweet. That's it.

I found this last night while clearing stony creek for a quest....climbed up waterfall and had a wander.

Seems there is no real 'free-roam' when it comes to dungeons as they mostly seem to be quest tied.....as i have no idea what you describe.

All i found was a network of paths leading to a giant chamber with some waterfalls.....and a few falmer to kill.

So i suppose i will be trudging back there at some point for the ball/drop fun.

The true entrance to Kagrenzel is outside, not through Stony Creek Cave, that's the exit, and the only way to get up that waterfall in the cave is with no-clip or a jump mod. There's a chest or two in the water, but that's about it. Maybe someone should expand on it when the CK comes out.

jump mod.

Yes, ripe for modding i think, that huge chamber seems.....wasted? nice deep water.spent ages diving looking for underwater goodies or entrances.

I liked the boulder dodging too.

While doing a quest in Stony Creek Cave I came up to the waterfall & was curious if it led anywhere. So I *cheated* & installed a jump mod to take a look-see. Followed it aways & while marveling up at the blue cavern ceiling in the main cave, I *accidentlly* stepped off the edge & ended up in the drink. While snorkeling I found a chest with an expert lock at the bottom of that big area of water in Kagrenzel. Broke all my lock picks trying to open it & so I went & got more & then came back & promptly broke them all once again. Fail. A third time was the charm though & I managed to open the lock. Found a nice Dwarven Mace that did 20pts shock damage which was better than my current weapon for several levels. Used my Unrelenting Force shout to knock a couple of the Falmers off the high bridge over the water & as luck would have it, they landed on the rocks below & not the water.
