Installing and using blender

So far I've managed to get blender to load nifs and I've already gone through the process of changing my nif with nifskope, however I seem to be getting an error whenever I try to load my nif into blender. "ValueError: String too long" is pretty much what I get.

 

Any advice on installation/loading nifs in?
