Bloonan
Hello guys, for the past month I've been having issues with my modded game, because every time I enter the armor workbench a CTD occurs. Ok, I said, I decided to finish the game without using the armor workbench ever again. If only the issues would've stopped there. After playing enough secondary quests and main quest and deciding that it's time to reap the benefits of the DLC's, I went out to hunt the Machinist. Long story short, after getting the Mechanist's armor...CTD.So be it, I didn't like it anyway. After deciding to ignore the armor, I embarked on a journey to Far Harbor. I played for a few hours or so and reached the swampy "arena" quest, at the end of which I received an armor....a DLC armor.....CTD. This was the last drop.I read on a different forum that some guys was having the same issues as me, but that guy didn't know that you should update your armor-related mods when they are updated (especially when you have DLC's). Without being accused of not trying, I reinstalled all my armor-related mods (by the way, I only use Armorsmith and Armor and Weapons Keywords), booted the game...CTD. Now, I come to you in my time of need, for I would really like to finish the DLC's in my modded playthrough, and I ask you guys for help...any kind of help. Thank you. bill8872
My quess since your CDTs are directly related to specific armors, try validating the game files, or reinstall the DLSs. It seems you are missing the meshes and/or textures.

It seems you are missing the meshes and/or textures. Alright, I reinstalled the DLC's and verified the integrity of the files, booted the game, talked to the armor guy...CTD. I can say that I'm running short on options.
bill8872
I would be at a loss myself. Have you tried disabling all your mods, and see if it still happens?
Bloonan
I would be at a loss myself. Have you tried disabling all your mods, and see if it still happens? So, I disabled the entirety of my mods (with the exception of the Unofficial Path), started the game, talked to the guy, received the armor. Nothing snapped, no brutal CTD, nothing. What's interesting is that this problems (starting with the armor workbench ctd) appeared out of nowhere. Since I started my playthrough, no mods were added, the only thing I did was just update the mods every time the opportunity arose. The question is, what now? bill8872
Enable each mod one by one, until you find the mod that is responsible for the CDTs.It might seem strange, but it's not always the one you're thinking of, but it conflicts with another for any number of reasons. When you installed Armorsmith, and the keywords mod, did you install the keywords last?I hunch on this is either Armorsmith did not install correctly, or the keywords is not the correct version. Bloonan
I am using Mod Organizer (I know that I'm taking a risk because it's still in a painfully early stage) and I installed the keywords first, followed by Armorsmith. Regarding the load order, I'm using LOOT and even though I'm sure it's not yet perfect it gets the job done. According to the conflicts tab, the only conflict the keywords are experiencing is related to the Concealed Armors mod, whilst the Armorsmith mod is "clean".Indeed, I can disable them one by one, but in this case the only mods I can think of being an issue (because they are the only ones which meddle with armors) are Armorsmith, Keywords and Concealed Armor. In case you were suggesting to disable all of my mods one by one...well, that would be a painstakingly long task, for I've reached the cheeky number of 138. bill8872
Keywords last. If it asks to overwrite say yes. It has been a while since I updated Armorsmith, so I do not recall if it has it included or not. The same author is involved in both, and several more mods. If it has it included it is out of date, and will cause the issue you're having. Concealed armors has not been updated for the DLCs. I use it as well, so I am sure that one is not the issue. If it conflicts it is minor since it does need updates, but will on all armors but the DLCs. It will work with some custom armor as well. LOOT is ok for conflicts, but I really does not place every mod in there correct working order. I have several it will place in the wrong place, and don't work due to it. So I started saving my load order. When I update mods I know I can place them where they should be. I don't use MO, but I think it works similar to NMM. Bloonan
In conclusion, what is your recommendation?
bill8872
Test the CTD with only Armorsmith, and Keywords. If they are your only armor mods, then I get the feeling it is one of those two. If it is, make sure they're the latest versions, and reinstall both, but Armor Keyword last.
