Remove weapon from lvl list

I would like to remove pipe weapons from the lvl list. I was wondering if I can delete them from the weapons tab in fo4edit or if i have to go through and delete them from each lvl list?

from what i know it works like this

if you delete them from the weapons tab it will remove all data of them from the game you never find them anywhere and most likely cause problems with crafting menus if don't remove them from there as well

if you only delete them from the leveled lists then they will only appear on npc's that have them hand placed in their inventory and in locations where they have been hand placed
