goldinguy Posted December 9, 2011 Share Posted December 9, 2011 So yea, I was doing the quest and then looked up some info about the Star and basically made the decision to make Azura's Star into the Black Star because then it could trap ANY kind of soul, useful right. Apparently no one warned me before hand if you did so you'd lose the chance to take Aranea Lenith as a follower, which is a shame as I hear she is one of the best, and one of very few female mages (and within my own race no less, damn it!). This request is to see if anyone wants to try to help me take up the project of re-scripting her to allow you to recruit her even after making the wrong decision in her quest line. So far I've tried setting her relationshiprank with the player, even at Lover she won't say anything other than "I'll kill you for defiling Azura's Star," or whatever. I even tried using the placeatme command to make a new version of her, hoping whatever flag was set would be erased. Does anyone have any other ideas. I'm thinking of trying to maybe reset the entire quests through console commands, or perhaps take it back to a point before the decision? I wonder if its a matter of which version of the star you have in your inventory. Perhaps if I removed the Black Star and then recruited her? Or added the white version into my inventory. Apparently Resetquest XXXX will reset quests and you can begin them again. It works for me at least. Aranea Ienith gives me the quest again and if I complete it she will join me. Its a good temporary fix, but I'd rather not have it two places in my quest book, so for the meantime I'm still looking for a way to change her attitude towards me without having to reset the quest and redo it. Or perhaps a way to reset the quest in my journal without starting a new one. goldinguy Posted December 9, 2011 Author Share Posted December 9, 2011 Yup... I'm not sure anyone knew about the resetquest command, but it works. Also, as far as my problem, I found if you reset the quest, then talk to her, tab out before you pick any options that give you the quest, then use setstage XXXX 100, it completes the quest, gives you Azura's star, which you can use a command to remove, and she'll join your party without a 2nd copy of the quest being added to your book. So I fixed myself perfectly. I'm rather pleased. Now if I could just find a way to get her to wear the circlet of destruction I bought for her as well as hooded robes (she looks a lot better with the hood on, yesh) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Like Kahliah but she's heavily scripted and has a unique voice so no companion or marriage... and has an HUGE forehead :laugh: So you got both Azura's star + Black star? goldinguy Posted December 10, 2011 Author Share Posted December 10, 2011 I HAD both. I actually gave Azura's away with removeitem console commands to keep it as close to the vest as possible. Already felt like I was cheating having the Black Star and Aranea, not to mention Lisette at home as a wife. I thought about taking Kahliah as a wife/companion! She can't be? You speak as if you've tried it. Shame. She does have a huge forehead! I thought Aranea was pretty hot, then I gave her new robes and a circlet, and when her hood came off.... well.... not as hot, but still a kickass companion.
