LukasFreroTrueDovahkin002
I know the game is old, but I beg any skilled modder to hear me out. The title is self explanatory. I'd like to have Morrigan's eyes close when a kiss is initialised. It's extremely ackward with those blinking eyes over your shoulder. I myself will delve into the toolset, but until then, I'd like to reach out to the community modders. Please make this happen? I don't know how many others noticed this, but clearly not enough since a mod would then already exist. Good luck to any modder willing to fix this game breaking bug! ;) :D
YaraC
Voilà: http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4556/? I made a quick fix for hm and em. Sorry if you are playing a dwarf. Dwarves are neglected again. Solutions for dwarves are just more time-consuming.The fix includes adjusted facial animations. These are only additive but the fix should close her eyes nearly always continuously. Edited October 7, 2016 by YaraC

You are a beast!! :D But, it appears that when you engage for the kiss her eyes close (looks awesome), but as soon as the camera tilts left her eyes remain open. Your picture on the mod suggests otherwise though. Edited October 7, 2016 by LukasFreroTrueDovahkin002
YaraC
That is exactly what should not happen. It works well in the toolset but I can't test it in-game. For that your feedback is very welcome. I will look into it. Truth is that there are ten different kiss cutscenes per race, all but one very similiar and only with light variations. In-game you will not be able to recognize that there are variations. It would be useful if you would tell me which race you are playing and perhaps the circumstances you have triggered the cutscene. That would reduce the string IDs for further testing.Seems I am depending on your feedback for the in-game part. Edited October 7, 2016 by YaraC

(Once again thanks for your trouble) >I am playing a Male Human.>Attempted the scene in the Dead Trenches right before fighting Broodmother. (Note that it is the last of the treaties quests and I will move on to Denerim and the Landsmeet after)>Relationship status is at a 100 (love)>I accessed the kiss via the 'I'd like to discuss something personal' and then 'Kiss her' dialog.>I am playing with the Morrigan restoration patch (Uninstalled and checked. The two is compatible because the open eyes still occur)>I have no other armor, height or character retextures installed that would affect the scene. That's all I can think of...Let me know what other information might be useful.
YaraC
Thanks for the info. I had already identified the string IDs for the everywhere-kiss scene and the in camp kiss scene following those lines.I think I have figured out what went wrong the last time. Meanwhile I have renewed all files and added adjusted animations for scenes with dwarves as well. Please let me know if my approach works now in-game. Version 1.1 is online. There can't be a conflict with any other mod because the mod overrides only facial animations and not cutscenes. But facial animations can not be copied (third party tool - limited ressource management); therefore the fix can not work for custom kiss scenes because the facial animations - if created with facefx generatorf - would have new string IDs unknown to me. This would be valid for the 'Morrigan´s angry kiss' scene of the Morrigan restoration patch as well even if it has been restored from an erf file. Just tested it and it seems to be working now! Thank you so much for your troubles! Do you have any Idea on how I can post a User Image to your mod page? I have been asking around about the idea in general and no one seems to be able to help me. Thank you tons for the fix!
YaraC
I am glad it works now. A User Image? - I would love that. But I have no idea how it could be added. I never have done it myself.
