ResidentWeevil2077
Maybe it's just my setup, or something I did wrong, but the attached SS should give you some insight as to what's happening with my game. My current specs are:GPU: ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 512 MiB GDDR3Desktop area: 22" LCD = 1680x1050OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)Oblivion is current version (1.2.0.416) I should note that I used the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable to send EVERYTHING over to the newer comp, so maybe it's just an incompatibility issue. ninja_lord666
Hmm...my suggestion is to stop using the skooma! :D Do you have any mods that change the exterior aesthetics? Maybe, during the transfer, some textures were lost. Strange colours like pink/purple usually mean missing textures...or a skooma overdose. :P
damstachizz
Moderator edit: No personal attacks please, I don't like having to edit out trash talk. Buddah This may be worth trying, ingame, the video options menu change the texture size to large, I remember reading that it will set to small when patching which can cause the problem you are describing. ResidentWeevil2077
I can assure you that NO FILES WERE LOST during the transfer. I've ruled out incompatibility with Vista because most programs I had on my XP machine still work on Vista (only because I'm using a 32-bit Vista, which is x86). I never used any texture replacers à la Qarl's Texture Pack, only because I never had a reason to, and it's utterly pointless. I probly m preety hi on teh skoomer :teehee:
ninja_lord666
Did the BSA files get corrupted somehow?
ResidentWeevil2077
Perhaps, but I don't think so. It looks like it might have something to do with the way close and distant LODs are detected and rendered; I can't be sure.
Guest
Hit the ` button and type TLL, it will toggle the ground to a higher quality, same thing happened to mwe and I did this and it helped...your welcome in advanced.(Tell me if it's the wrong command...have a huge list of all of them and get them mixxed up somtimes. Abramul
If TLL works, please let us know, as this seems to be a common bug (although the map area is normally City Isle).
ResidentWeevil2077
OK, now the console won't open (and bAllowConsole=1). Now I need to solve two problems  EDIT: I figured out what was causing my weird landscape issues - it was the INI setting bLandscapeBlend. For some reason unbeknowest to me, I needed to change the value to 0 (default = 1), so now I only need to find out why the console won't open  EDIT #2: Now I really know what was wrong - all the shader packages (01-19) in the "Data\Shaders" directory were of the old, and not the new. I forgot that when Windows transfers files over, it won't replace files, only rename them. I needed to delete all the old shaders, and rename the new ones. And "bLandscapeBlend" is set to 1. The reason I finally figured this out was because there were no visual effects - no membrane shaders, no shadows, no anything. I'm glad to have finally figured this out ;D Now it's only the console... :(
