Oops, corrupt save

Ya went kinda mod happy, been years since I played a modable game lol Forgot the basic rule of "back up your game files before moding". and ended up with a corrupt save{?}. When I hit continue the game would run for a bit loading then just shut down. Reinstall did not fix it as I was using the same save, oh well, my bad. lol

I'm hoping to use QMJS Extended Functions Mod-V2.01 YOSE because bases seem pretty restrictive. Would like to be able to build in some of the empty spaces as well as upgrade preset areas. I did a fair amount of moding with GP500 years ago, would be fun to toss some of my own skins in game, but now I'm kind of paranoid to use any mods now. I mean that is 60 hour + shot to hell.

So what mods are safe and reliable?

Recommended skin mod tutorials and tools?

YoS version.

Edit to add: Hmmm, seems not all the mods were deleted with that reinstall; ask me if I'm surprised lol Still got all the fancy painted vehicles; don't want, as well as the odd back packs and costumes. Looks like an easy enough texture swap. That I a can do lol Of coarse a .obj or UVmap would be nice too lol

A couple of things to consider with YOSE:

1. Make sure the mod specifically says YOSE. If you use mods intended for the original version of the game, the files they use won't contain any of the YOSE editions, so you will lose pretty much all of the added stuff.

2. Make sure if loading more than one mod that they do not use the same files. Otherwise, you will end up with either only one showing up, or neither mod working correctly.
