Photoshop Normal Maps saving i dont get it....

That's all in the title, when it comes to save normal maps i just edited i have wired results or 0kb files, i've trried dxt3 compression as recommended on some tutos but does it need MipMap, what settings do i chose, i also tried the d3c normal map compression but it results as a 0kb file.

 

I need help.

Thanks but it doesn't resolve the save problem, and nopw i'm having additional issues, till now i was able to make diffuse textures and save it as dxt5 interpolated alpha but since today this setting makes my texture like a bit of a mix between normal map and diffuse as i have height and tangents but with colors ( not the X;Y,Z tones) and i use the same settings that works for months, but now it's screwed i'm lost.

 

Edit a reset to default as solved the secondary issue but still have trouble with normal maps, i cant figure what i'm doing wrong.
