Mutanttoothbrush
I installed nmm, and downloaded some mods, run my game, hit continue, and then it crashes before it loads, I disable all the mods, same thing, I uninstall all the mods, same thing, I uninstall nmm, same thing, and I forgot to backup my game, so now I am terrified I lost everything. dubiousintent
First of all, don't panic. Your "save game" files are stored under the "C:\Users\<YourAccountName>\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV" folder, If you haven't deleted that, they will still be there. Even re-installing the game doesn't normally remove that folder. Also, Steam stores save game files in the cloud. Now as to your CTDs. Are you running Windows 10? If so, some recent "automatic updates" have installed video drivers that are broken for FNV as the result of a recent change MS made to the WDDK. Please see "Cause-3" in this entry of the "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. If you aren't running Win10, then more than likely the problem is one of the other "Cause" entries in that same entry. While NMM has it's faults, it won't generally "break" your game. -Dubious-
