Light of Dawn crash

Hello,

I just picked up the sword Light of Dawn recently.

The problem I had with it at first was THE GAME CRASHING IF I DIE WHILE WIELDING IT. I'm pretty sure the problem here is because the sword is flaming while drawn, but returns to no-flame when dropped, and somehow this part is not running properly. So, I used the console command Set OOOLightOfDawnUseFlame to 0, as instructed, to turn off this flame-swapping effect. This did get rid of the crash, but now I have another problem: the sword is not flaming anymore, but when I unequip it (or equip another weapon) the effect "Vampire Punishment Weak" is applied to me CONSTANTLY (it disappears at first when the sword is unequipped, but then returns.) Oh I'm a complete vampire right now, by the way. That means my HP drops constantly until I die, and there's no dispelling it. This sword is marked as Quest Item so I can't even drop it. Sure, it's easy to just cure the vampirism (I'm even having the cure in my inventory right now) but I kinda enjoy being a vampire at the moment.

 

I don't know what causes this. Googling doesn't help me figure this out. I used the Construction Set to look at the scripts but I'm too new to Oblivion modding or editting stuff to understand much. So now I have to accept either the crash-if-die-while-wielding-sword or the incurable-death. I know I'm not supposed to use this sword while I'm a vampire, but then, there should be a way to fix this, right?

 

I'm having Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul 1.33 with the 1.34 beta patch, and OBSE v.20. Any information related is appreciated.

To anyone who still plays it. The fix for this is to cure vampirism and then go through this quest or get kills in human form. Enter the following command player.additem 977e4 1

This method removed the CTD. Just don't be the vampire if you're going through this quest! You're welcome!
