cesarious
Hi, I beat Dragon Age Origins on the X-Box and I would like to play it with some mods. Some quick questions: - Does it matter if I buy it on Steam (will it conflict with any of my mods)?- What are the "must have" mods for DAO? Thanks! Thandal
Welcome, cesarious; There are no "must have" mods for DA. The game is totally playable (and re-playable) without them. That said, since you've already played through on the XB, fee free to mod anything and everything you felt could be better/more to your taste. Here's a thread that discusses various members' perspectives and recommendations: Good Mods - OpinionsIt's a little dated, (for example, I would definitely add the "Morrigan Restoration Patch" to my own list) but still valid as far as pointing out the different approaches and kinds of mods. You might also want to take a look at this article: Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies. It'll get you started. And as it points out, except for the changes to the folder paths, there's no difference in using mods with a Steam install of DA. (But you might check and see if you can get a better price on EA's own digital distribution service, "Origin".) Happy (modded) Gaming!
