josherick
I ran into the bug where Odahviing would become hostile after releasing him, as mentioned here(the 4th bug listed). I followed the steps and went back into Dragonsreach to wait for 4 hours. When I went back in and talked to the guard, asking him to let the dragon go, he said he would but didn't. I tried to go back to my old save, but found that all of the autosaves had been overwritten by me going in and out and waiting and such things, and my most recent non-autosave is quite far back in the main quest. I know how to advance the quest manually, so that I can get onto the next quest, but if I do that, then a ton of people just get stuck in that room in Dragonsreach and I don't know if it will affect future quests (such as if I want to join the Stormcloaks or Imperials or other stuff that involves Whiterun- it's an important city) and it is just kind of annoying to have them there. So, does anyone know a console command or some other solution to my problem that would help me free Odahviing? Or at least set everyone else in Dragonsreach back to doing what they normally do, as opposed to standing there staring at the dragon?

Yes, I used setstage but that only changes where you are in the quest for your journal, it doesnt actually change anything else as far as i can tell.
