Scou
I've seen quite a few people mention this in other places, but can't find a mod or a thread about it so I figured I'd ask (if there is a thread already sorry, search didn't find it). Dragons attacking creatures is fine with me. Dragons just flying by way up in the air and not attack is fine to, its not like a have a giant arrow on me or anything. The thing I have a problem with is dragons being ADD. The best example I have is a save right outside of Morthal. When I load up and walk into town and get somewhere around the middleish depending on how fast I was going, guards start drawing bows, I turn around and see a dragon coming over the mountain. The first bit is great (most of the time) usually a guard or two yells at the other NPCs to get inside, non fighter NPCs will scream and run, and its generally rather epic as the dragon comes in. Dragon comes in, either lands on a building and burns/freezes everything, or strafes the town, and this goes on for some period of time, different every time. But almost guaranteed, after 30 seconds or 5 minutes or whatever, the dragon will come down and strafe the river instead of the town. He will then proceed to wipe out every mudcrab in a 5 mile radius, completely ignoring the people WHO FILLED HIM FULL OF ARROWS AND ARE STILL SHOOTING in favor of attacking the crabs that were making rude gestures with their claws or something. Not only does it completely destroy the moment and ruin immersion, but half the time it'll never come back and I'll have to chase it halfway to Solitude or whatever. Not that its running cause its hurt (heck, sometimes its an elder dragon and is barely hurt at all) it just keeps aggroing on random creature number 27. The best solution would be a mod that makes dragons have some kind of threat monitor or whatnot, which would check the level of the creature (so mudcrabs wouldn't be a priority even if not being attacked) and more importantly, if the creature has injured it. Prioritizing humans over non humans could possible be added in too. The not as good solution but one I'm still willing to do is have dragons not attack anything that's not human (or giant and such if possible to make that distinction). Definitely not teh best option, but still would be preferible to me. The main issue I see with this (aside from AI itself being hard) is if most creatures have some type of linked AI, then changes to dragons would effect everyone. If this is true, the first option would still work fine, maybe even make other parts of the game better, but the second option wouldn't be very good. Any ideas/suggestions are obviously welcome, even in the forms of "xyz" isn't really possible (as long as its nicely).
