mjaaoon Posted December 11, 2011 Share Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) So this is my second time through the game and I'm trying to start the college of winterhold quests. However I'm being stopped by one of the npc's as per usual (Feralda or something if memory serves) and she is asking me to cast "heal other" spell on the rune next to her. I do not have this spell and so I ask to purchase it from her. She takes my 30 gold but does not give me the spell book. I tried this a few times with the same result. I reloaded the game and the same thing happens. I've searched other merchants that might sell this book such as the mage in winterhold but they do not have it. She keeps telling me to cast the spell and I can continually "buy" the tome but I never actually receive it. I really want to start these quests but have no idea how to get through this. Wraith Darkholm Posted December 13, 2011 Share Posted December 13, 2011 (edited) Although I have the pc version, I remember that once when I was doing this quest, I purchased the spell from her and it went directly into my spell list; I didn't have to read a tome.
