WIP Dogs of War, Rerturn of the Desert Rangers

Having spent a couple of days, working on various issues. I thought I might share a few shots of the Tully world space. I'm not currently interested in using the entire map, but a significant area of the map will end up in game. Which means... More work. LOL so here are a few shots.

 

The North Entrance to Tully

A ghost town used by Hunters and Tribals to the North of Tully, Just south of Gecko Gulch and Saddle Notch.

I am thinking I might just work on this in Parts, Since the quest moves from the FNV Wasteland to the Tully world space then on to the Devils Hill worldspace. Just to make the workflow easier.

Great work, I was bit dissapointed when I read about a Vault (blérgh, I hate Vaults lol) but this pictures are great, the first reminds me Shady Sands.

 

Anyway, come here to make a sugestion: I played Honest Hearts Reborn for the first time a few day ago. Buggy as hell XD but REALLY cool mod. However, I was quite annoyed for something in this mod: lack of wildlife.

 

Hope to see some in your mod. Can we get the house´s favorite, the Deathclaws? :)

I will post a couple of in game pics of the Vault in a few days. the quest that takes the courier into the vault will supply some of the history and a resource. I am trying to make it as lore friendly as possible, and there will be some van buren material touched on. Like you I am not a big Vault fan (normally) LOL But they do have their place in the story line.

 

Animals, yes there will be animals in both new world spaces, all the old familiar beasties.

added in a few new places and landscape touch ups to Tullyworld. soon it will be time to LOD the whole thing... I am not looking forward to that. and after the Lodding, some serious script and quest work for part one.

I really almost put in a mission with a grail shaped lantern on the roof and a dozen nuns who knit exciting underwear all day. But the beacon would take to much work to put in game.... LOL

After some deliberation, I am going to rework some of my custom models. to make them look better in game, but trying to balance it so that low end systems can handle it with little to no problem.

 

I especially want to rework the Riverboat, I just don't like the way it looks at the moment.

sorry I got busy scripting the battle in and around Warrens Drift and haven't had a chance to get in game pictures yet. A couple of more days, sorry for the delay.

Okay maybe not the deathclaws LOL.

 

what do you get when you cross Raiders with former Enclave.... Bandits with lots of attitude and top line gear.

okay here as promised... Warrens Drift, Free Territory of Nevada. Surrounded by a sand bag and junk wall for defense. its hard to see, but note the sandbag bunkers that flank the gate. Raiders and outlaw gangs have grown almost common in parts of Northern Nevada over the last six years.

The Townhall, in what used to be the Fire Station. on the roof is an old industrial scale Emergency generator.

Pete's outdoor grill, Pete and his Robot, along with his two kids run this watering hole. A favorite of Traveling Merchants and wanderers. "Fine dining", can be found at Lisle's.

outside the walls of Warrens drift the skeletal remains of the larger town area still stand, half buried after the earthquakes, weather and centuries of neglect.

Anyway thats all the pics for now, as you can see clutter, plants and other things are still needed.

 

not a bad amount of progress for a one man show... Wooot... LOL

Progress on Warrens Drift... well I have added the cemetery, the power substation, a nice plane wreck, a couple of scripts and have started nav meshing the area around the town. I have two more locations to add after that.

 

once I finish with all of that and adding the Town Residents as well as tweeking the ambush and combat scripts, I hope to make a video of Warrens Drift. Then it will be back to Devils hill where I will have to alter the height map, finish nav meshing the area around the town and start on the four major quests in the area and the associated scripts. there have been changes to the story line so its a good thing that I've held off on doing those because I will have to make changes to the quests in the Mojave to reflect the additions.
