Screen suddenly goes black for a couple seconds every so often?

So, after I finished Nuka-World, I took a little break for a couple of weeks, and when I went to play again last night, the game decided to re-detect my video card. It set everything to Low, which is fair since im on a 5-year old PC-

but now, as the title says, every so often the screen will go black for a couple seconds. The first time it happened, I readied myself to be looking at my desktop, as it seemed like the first stage of a crash, but then the graphics came back and everything was fine, though stuff had continued to happen while I was blacked out (good thing I wasnt in a fight). Any ideas on what setting could be causing this?

It's been a great 5 years with that GPU, as I do think it is getting ready to die on you, or it is having a hard time with the game.
