VanillaKarin
I've been using a lot of mods recently via the NMM. I'm also using F4SE. Everything has been fine, but I noticed something odd in Sanctuary. There's a typewriter by the workbench (it's there by default in the game). I never scrapped it or moved it. Sometimes when I go there, there is another typewriter on top of it. I also have a phone sitting on my desk in Sanctuary that sometimes doubles as well. I also noticed one day the typewriter which I put on my desk was on the floor. Now, here's where things go wrong. When I tried to move the typewriter (not in edit mode), the game crashed. However, it loaded up fine. This was awhile ago, back when I only had a handful of mods. I never did touch the duplicated phones on my desk, I didn't want to deal with it and crash the game and just didn't think much of it. Now, I have more mods installed. I was tired of the typewriters sitting there by the workbench so I scrapped the one on top, and the game crashed. I wasn't too surprised, but when I went to launch the game (F4SE loader), I noticed oddly that the little start menu popped up, which doesn't happen when I use F4SE to launch. Then, when I hit play, the menu disappeared and the little steam box popped up to say it was loading the game, and then the startup menu popped up again. This just repeats forever. I backed up my saves and then deleted my most recent ones, hoping that would somehow help, but it didn't. I also deleted my config files in my Fallout 4 folder (the one in documents) and verified the game cache in steam. If there any safe way to fix the problem without uninstalling stuff? VanillaKarin
Welp, goes to show that in every situation you should always try turning it off and on again. I restarted my laptop and now it's working again. Idk why I didn't try it sooner, I'm tired and Fallout has been such an escape for me that I panicked when it stopped working.
