dhaedra
When my character is not moving i can pan the camera around and change the camera elevation too. When i unsheath my weapon or move my character, the camera snaps back to view my character from behind in either 1st or 3rd person mode. I would love to be able to move the camera while moving and/or while my weapon is unsheathed. I have tried the console commands animcam and tfc but the controls are very awkward compared to the smooth and precise camera control I have while panning the camera around my Character so long as I don't move. The main reason I would like this camera feature Is to look around at all the gorgeous scenery in Skyrim while I travel around either on foot or horseback. I find it really frustrating to be locked into a limited view straight ahead while running or riding along the mountain paths. If there is some way to unlock the camera so it is anchored to my character but can move freely around just like when I am standing still, then I would be able to travel all over Skyrim and enjoy the amazing visuals. There are a lot of camera settings in the .ini file but I have no idea what i'm doing and don't want to screw up the game. Can someone help me out please ?Thanks for any help. Bump for a worthy cause. I also noticed this and would love an option to do exactly what the OP described.
Arcadiast
I was very used to this in Oblivion and also miss this "feature". So if anybody has a idea it would be very welcome.
Badlok
Yep, I am looking for a way to do this too.
kberling
Yep, I am looking for a way to do this too. In my game, I have limited camera panning ability while holding a weapon unsheathed by holding down the "change look" key (default "f") and rotating with the mouse. Brittainy
Shame on you. Tsk tsk. Bethesda apparently doesn't like vanity... Seriously though, I really miss that feature. Was very annoyed to see it missing in Skyrim. Was great for enjoying the scenery, handy for spotting enemies and perfect for checking yourself out
